LEARN TO EARN

Our “Learn to Earn” program gives young people an opportunity to earn money while they learn job skills. We currently have several mentees working for Oval Cleaning services. We also partner with small businesses and get the companies to hire our mentees. The G.R.O.W. Program incurs the cost for payroll and our partners get free interns. It is our goal to have successful outcomes during the trial period which may lead to more permanent employment. The participants in our program are able to make money while they learn budgeting, saving and financial literacy in real time. Some of our youth are squeegee boys or hustling on corners in the inner city. We believe that asking a young person to stop engaging in delinquent activities that feed them on a day to day basis may not be successful unless we replace it with better opportunities. This social economics business model will help us to get them on track, build their self-esteem and help them to develop independent living skills.

We have been mentoring for over 15 years. Our mentees become mentors with real life experiences that they share with upcoming youth. Life coaching is a long term objective and we need to create programs that are able to sustain long periods of time. We would like to develop MOU agreements with companies that wish to support our program and receive a tax benefit. These partnerships will help us to have the resources to be able to plan long term
