Entrepreneurship

The G.R.O.W. Program proudly partners with the Enoch Pratt Free Library Downtown to deliver an innovative Entrepreneurship Program designed to empower high school sophomores and seniors with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become future business leaders.

This dynamic program introduces participants to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including business planning, marketing strategies, financial literacy, branding, leadership development, and effective communication skills. Students gain hands-on experience learning how to create a business plan, manage finances, market a product or service, and understand customer engagement and networking.

Working in collaborative teams, participants develop essential team-building and problem-solving skills, learn to think critically, and strengthen their ability to negotiate, delegate, and adapt in group settings—all vital qualities of successful entrepreneurs. They also gain valuable experience learning how to pitch their business ideas to an audience, helping them build public speaking confidence and presentation skills.

Throughout the program, students officially launch their own small businesses, complete with websites and social media pages to promote their products or services. To support their learning and dedication, each participant receives a weekly stipend for their involvement in the program.

In addition to career and business development, participants enjoy a safe, supportive environment where they are provided with free lunch, mentorship, and opportunities to socialize with like-minded peers. This combination of education, engagement, and empowerment helps students build a foundation not only for entrepreneurship but for lifelong success and community leadership.
